To my chunky monkey! You are now 10 months and a chunky 23 lbs! Your chubby cheeks and double chin are so so kissable :) I can’t believe almost a year has passed since you were born. Just a few short months ago you were a little tiny baby, and now you are ON THE GO! You can’t walk by yourself yet but you LOVE walking with the push car. It gives you so much independence (so you think.. hehe) and it is great practice for walking. I’m sure by next month you will be taking your next steps by yourself. You have just started saying “dad” which your daddy is a big fan of :) You are trying to copy everything Oliver does more and more. You babble constantly and and are trying to sound out new words already. Your hair is getting whiter and whiter (people comment on it all the time!) and it grows SO fast so I have to cut it once a month. You are still just as silly and funny as ever and you are always up for a good giggle :) We love you so much, little monkey! xoxoxo Mommy

Charlie warlie! You are 9 months now and just bursting with personality! You bring joy and laughter to our household every day and as you get older, the more you are turning into our little clown! You just love to make us laugh, and you are rarely serious! You got 2 more teeth this month so you’d think you’d be grumpy but you are still just as happy as ever. You have made it very clear that no you would not like me to feed you anymore, so you are now in charge of feeding yourself, and you are doing very well! You love to use your own spoon like a big boy and you are a very good eater. You always have been! You sit contently in your booster seat pecking away until all the food is gone. You just starting waving ‘hi’ too, so every one you see gets a friendly wave and a big smile :) You are quite the little charmer. You are also getting HEAVY! You are 21 lbs now so I hope you start walking soon so I don’t have to carry you everywhere! This month has been so much fun and I can’t wait to see what the next one holds. Holy smokes Charlie!! You are 8 months! The last month has been filled with lovely summer afternoons of going to the park, splashing in the wading pool, lots of long walks, and visiting with family. You are now crawling at warp speed and we have to be VERY careful to close all the baby gates because you think you can crawl down the stairs. You are pulling yourself up to standing on EVERYTHING and you can move from object to object as well. You try to copy everything Oliver does so I’m sure you will be walking before we know it. You copy a lot of his noises, most often the car sounds and fire truck sounds. You have started to say ‘mama’ which still makes my heart skip a beat :) You got 2 more teeth this month so now you have 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom :) It makes you pretty darn cute but it makes your biting oh so much more painful ;) Your favourite things are to be outside, swing on the swings, read books, play with cars/trucks/planes (pretty much anything that Oliver is playing with) and to get wet/splash in water (whether it be at the wading pool or in the bath). Your favourite foods right now are yogurt, cheerios, cheese, peaches and bananas. You are still consistently sleeping through the night which is oh so heavenly (thank youuuuu!!!) which makes keeping up with you 2 busy boys during the day a little less exhausting :) I love you to the moon and back. xoxo Mommy

To my beautiful baby boy.. wow you are 7 months now and are getting so big!! You are tipping the scales at 20 lbs. Your personality is growing by the day! You are such a funny kid and you make me laugh all the time. You have the funniest facial expressions and noises.. you always try to copy the sounds Oliver makes and it makes all of us laugh! You can shake your head “no” now and I’m not sure if you know what it means but you always do it at the funniest times. You got your second tooth so now you have 2 on the bottom. You are starting to try to crawl and you get up on your hands and knees and rock back and forth. You will move a few inches and stop and rest and I think you are just trying to figure the whole thing out but you seem to catch onto stuff very quickly so I’m sure by next month you will be flying around! We have this amazing little park by our house that has a wading pool and you absolutely LOVE the water. You always get so excited when we go! But I think your most favourite thing to do is swinging on the swings. You smile and giggle and wave your arms and legs the entire time :) We rented a cottage up north for a week this month and you had such a blast! We swam every day and you loved being outside all the time. You went on your first motor boat ride and you fell asleep in my arms about 10 minutes in! OH!!! And Charlie, I could not possibly be more thrilled to announce that you are now consistently sleeping through the night!!!! This makes me the happiest mom in the world. I haven’t slept through the night in over 2 years and I am ADORING this new stage in our lives :) I have so much more energy to keep up with you busy boys now! You are my shining light and I love you SO SO SO much. A million hugs and kisses, love from Mommy xoxo

Charlie! You are now half a year old!! HALF A YEAR!! How did that happen?? Man time flies. You are now a nice and chunky 19 lbs.. and guess what!! You got your first tooth! It’s quite sharp and you like to bite me with it of course. Considering you are teething, you are still pretty much the happiest baby ever. I really hit the jackpot with you! OH and you can also sit now! And quite well! I guess I should have tried to sit you up sooner but you know, life is busy and I guess it didn’t really occur to me. But the first time I tried sitting you up, you sat there for a few minutes and looked so proud of yourself! You rarely topple over, which is great for you since Oliver is always trying to jump on top of you. I always think you are going to be hurt but you always lay there giggling your head off! You just LOVE to laugh… Oliver loves to make you giggle all the time and it just makes my day when I see you having fun together. You love to play peek-a-boo, and you absolutely adore bath time!! I’m pretty sure you could stay in it all day if I let you! Life is just starting to settle down a bit now. We are almost settled into our new home and you boys are enjoying all of the extra space and all of the time you get to spend with daddy now that he’s done his exam! I feel like life is just beginning… I can’t wait to see what is in store for our happy little family :) I love you more than ever, Mommy xoxo

Dear Charlie.. you are now 5 months and I’m not really sure where the past month has gone! Life is extremely hectic right now as daddy is preparing to write his board exam and we are preparing to move to Toronto. So needless to say the time is just racing by. But that does not change the fact that you are still the sweetest little boy and you brighten my day every time you give me smiles and snuggles. Your baba came to visit this month and WOW, was she ever a life saver during this stressful period in our lives. I think that it’s safe to say that you succeeded in wrapping her around your little finger. You give looks that would charm the eyes out of a snake and you have this adorable little ‘bashful’ face which melts my heart every time. You are starting to adore the dogs, they make you giggle your little face off! You are happiest when you are outside, but you are happy most of the time and overall you are just a really easy baby. I cannot thank you enough for this :)I have started feeding you solid food which you can’t get enough of! Your favorites are sweet potato, peas, avacado, pears, and bananas. As always, I look forward to what the next month holds.. it will be very busy but it will be a great month of new beginnings :) Love you more than ever, Mommy xoxo
